Zimmer's icelab improves overall wellbeing

The Cold Sauna, Zimmer's most advanced cryo-chamber, allows operators - such as hotels, spas, health/fitness clubs, beauty clinics and rehabilitation centres - to offer versatile, unique and effective treatments to its customers.

With a long history in the health and sports sectors, cryotherapy is a dry treatment that causes a positive chain reaction in the body, and offers a number of physical and mental wellness benefits, as well as improves customers' overall wellbeing. It can be easily incorporated into daily life, as it doesn't require showers or the removal of make up beforhand.

The Cold Sauna can comfortably accomodate up to four guests at one time and operates at -110°C, offering a comfortable, dry 'deep freeze' effect that guests can experience for up to three minutes.

In addition, the Cold Sauna is one of the more sustainable ways to offer wellbeing treatments, due to its low energy consumption and lack of consumables, besides electricity, giving it a long life span.

Rainer Bolsinger, sales manager of global sales of icelab for Hotels & Spas at Zimmer MedizinSystems, said: "You need space, a significant initial investment budget and the right concept. Doing things right in the beginning will generate a lot of loyal and satisfied customers, low operational cost and outstanding marketing opportunities. The most successful operators offer more than a hundred treatments per day with a single icelab -110 °C."
